Even if you have zero experience with making origami (like me), these butterflies are super easy and quick to make. They’re also lots of fun.
I created this instructional video when the idea for The Butterfly Project first came to me. I’m sure you will find it easy to follow.
Once your butterfly is finished, please slightly damage the lower left wing. You can cut a small section off if you like, or wrinkle it. Then print and attach The Butterfly Project tags with an 8″ strand of yarn or ribbon to the corners of each upper wing, say a prayer for the recipient of your butterfly, and leave it in a public place.
